Web Viewer

The viewer module of DocDokuPLM has two facets.

The first one is its capability to display a binary file directly inside a web browser.
For now, it is possible to visualize any kind of images, videos, major 3D models, PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) files. And we are continuously working on increasing the list of supported formats.

The second leg of our component is its data visualization aspect.
For short, Dataviz is the art of extracting the significance of data by using visual presentation. The objective is to bring sense to a bunch of data by emphasizing visualization.

Technically speaking, the viewer implementation relies solely on standard web technologies, i.e. HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
When needed, the extendable plugin based architecture allows to add features easily.
